In April, 2.6 million tonnes of grain will be exported from the country given a previous forecast of 3.07 million tonnes, including wheat 2.1 million tonnes, barley 250 000 tonnes and corn 350 000 tonnes. In April 2016, grain export amounts to 2.28 million tonnes, including wheat 1.42 million tonnes, barley 207 000 tonnes and corn 616 000 tonnes. For the current year the export of grain from Russia will be 35.3 million tonnes given the previous estimate of 36 million tonnes, including wheat 27.2 million tonnes (27.6 million tonnes according to the previous forecast and 24.8 million tonnes for the previous season). The export of barley will amount to 2.8 million tonnes (4.3 million tonnes for the previous season), corn 4.9 million tonnes (4.65). The export price of new crop wheat for August shipment remains unchanged from 170 - 173 USD/mt. In March grain export from Russia reached 3.39 million tonnes (2.77), including wheat 2.53 million tonnes (1.71), barley 232 000 tonnes (299 000), corn600 000 tonnes (703 000).

From the beginning of the season until 19.04.2017, 23.003 million tonnes of wheat have been exported from Russia, 5.7% more than the previous year. During the period grain export from the country reached 29.789 million tonnes (-0.5%), including 23.003 million tonnes of wheat (+ 5.7%), 4.146 million tonnes of corn (+ 6.7%) and 2.43 million tonnes of barley (-39.9%).

According to APK-Inform, during the period 14 - 20 April export of grain from Russian seaports has reached 696,400 tonnes towards 533,400 tonness a week earlier. 578 600 tonnes of wheat, 22 000 tonnes of corn and 95 800 tonnes of barley were exported. The largest buyers were Egypt 241 300 tonnes, Saudi Arabia 62 800 tonnes and Sudan 50 300 tonnes.

According to forecast of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, during the new season the wheat yield in the country will be at least 24 million tonnes. Areas with winter wheat amount to 6.2 million ha and corn -  4.5 million ha.
