The US increased the export of corn by 67%

For the first seven months of the current season (September 2016 – August 2017) 34.7 million tonnes of corn have been exported from the US, which is 67% more than the previous season.

The sharp increase of the export is due to the record high crops in  2016 reaching 384.4 mln.tonnes compared to 345.5 mln.tonnes for the last year. The export for the whole season will reach 56.5 mln.tonnes (48.2).

Major buyers of american corn this season are Mexico - 6.5 mln.tonnes, Japan - 7.4 mln.tonnes, South Korea  -3.7 mln.tonnes, Columbia - 3.6 mln.tonnes, Taiwan - 1.9 mln.tonnes, Peru - 1.7 mln.tonnes, Saudi Arabia - 1.5 mln.tonnes, Russia  -177 000 tonnes and other.
