Possible cause for the result may be the sharp rise of the soft wheat price during the week, by almost 13 USD/mt. The wheat export during the period amounts 273,400 tonnes.

Total sales of US wheat since the beginning of the season are by 36.5% higher than the previous year given 38.6% a week earlier.

Weekly sales of wheat from the 2017 crop are 273,400 tonnes.

The largest wheat buyers for the week are Indonesia 66,500 tonnes, China 63,000 tonnes, Egypt 51,600 tonnes, Chile 32,400 tonnes and Algeria 30,900 tonnes. From the previously concluded purchase contracts refused: an unknown buyer – 315,400 tonnes, Japan – 34,700 tonnes, Nigeria  - 4,500 tonnes and Malaysia 700 tonnes.

The largest recipients of wheat for  the period were Indonesia 133,900 tonnes, Nigeria 74,600 tonnes, China 63,000 tonnes, Egypt 51,600 tonnes and Algeria 37,900 tonnes.
