Japan cancelled a tender for the purchase of 120 000 tonnes of feed wheat and 200 000 tonnes of feed barley for shipment until November 30th, 2017.

The next tender will take be held on June 7th, 2017.

Chinese importers have started cancelling already concluded contracts for soybean shipments, mainly from Brazil. Last week, shipments of five lots were cancelled, and three more lots were resold in neighboring countries. From the beginning of the year, soybean import to China has risen strongly against the backdrop of Brazil's record soybean crop and lower prices. At the same time, a large amount of rapeseed oil was sold out of the Chinese state reserves. High oil supply in China lowered domestic prices and affected processors who now suffer negative margins.
