Palm oil stocks in Indonesia decline significantly

At the end of April 2017, palm oil stocks in Indonesia decline to 888 000 tonnes, by 25% less compared to the end of 2016, according to GAPKI.

This significant decrease in stocks is due to the slow increase in palm plantation yields and, hence, to the crop and the active export of the product.

During the first four months of 2017, Indonesia increases palm oil production by 14% compared to the same figure in the previous year to 11.5 million tonnes. Export of palm oil and its products increased by 23% to 10.7 million tonnes.
