Canada accelerates soft wheat export

Canada has accelerated the soft wheat export for the last two weeks, according to CGC.

In the week of May 12 - 18, soft wheat export reached 452,200 tonnes, and during the week of 19-25 May - 445,200 tonnes, well above the average monthly export for this year.

In the first 43 weeks of the current season, 11.69 million tonnes of soft wheat were exported from Canada, which is by 14% less than last year.

According to forecast of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, during the whole season the export of soft wheat from Canada will be 15.5 million tonnes (-9.6% compared to the previous season). The decline is due to the lower crop quality.
