In the week May 29th – June 2nd 2017 price of soft wheat in Spain increased by 0.6% up to 181.03 EUR/mt

Japan purchased only 14 010 tonnes of feed wheat given planned purchase of 120 000 tonnes of the crop and 200 000 tonnes of feed barley for shipment  on November 30th 2017.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of China, as of June 5th 2017 11.3 million hectares under winter wheat cultivation have been harvested in the country, which is over 50% of the total areas sown with the crop. In the current year a record yield of wheat is expected - 131 million tonnes, which is by 1.7% more than in 2016.

The Taiwan Flour Mill Association has announced a tender for the purchase of 92,400 tonnes of milling wheat from the United States for shipment from July 30th  to August 30th 2017.

For the first five weeks of the season, 75,300 tonnes of corn  have been exported from the South African Republic, incl. yellow - 31 300 tonnes and white - 44 000 tonnes.

Jordan has announced a tender for the purchase of 100,000 tonnes of milling wheat.

Authorities in Egypt will most likely restore the requirement for imported wheat to contain 0% of ergot. This will again create problems for import and will significantly increase the price of wheat purchased.

According to AgRural's latest forecast, in the current season, corn yield, second-crop in Brazil will reach 67.1 million tonnes, compared to 63.6 million tonnes in the previous forecast. With this forecast, the total corn crop in the country will be 97.8 million tonnes.
