Russia: IKAR raised its forecast for wheat crop in the new season up to 66 – 71 million tonnes

IKAR expects the wheat crop in Russia to reach 66 – 71 million tonnes in the new economic year (June 1st 2017 - June 30th 2018)

However, the outcome depends on weather until September. From the current point of view, if the forecast is to be changed yet again, it would be rather raised again.

The current forecast for grain yield in Russia is at 111 - 116 million tonnes given a forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture of the country of 100-105 million tonnes.

During the new season the export potential of Russian wheat will be 28-30 million tonnes. In the current season the export of the crop will be 27 million tonnes.
