500,000 tonnes of soybeans (359,000) were delivered from Brazil, and 136,000 tonnes (34,000) from the United States. 914,000 tonnes of soybeans (499,000) will be delivered to Pakistan in the first half of this year (January - June). In the second quarter of the year, 147,000 tonnes of rapeseed (369,000) were imported into Pakistan, and 449,000 tonnes (672,000) in the first half of the year.

From the beginning of the season until June 27^th 2017, 23.3 million tonnes of soft wheat were exported from the EU, which is 26% less than the previous year.

According to Emater / RS, winter wheat sowing in South America lags behind traditional terms. In the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, a key wheat produce, sowing is completed on 53% of the planned areas, which is 22% below the usual figure. It is expected that for the season areas under cultivation will decrease by 6.4% to 727,700 hectares.
