According to preliminary data, 1.62 million tonnes of grain were exported from Russia during the period 1st - 28th June given 716,000 tonnes a year earlier. 1.1 million tonnes of wheat (+ 53%), 224,000 tonnes of barley (+ 2,600%) and 314,000 tonnes of corn(+ 100%) were exported.
According to preliminary data for the entire 2016 - 2017, Russia will export 35.26 million tonnes of grain given 33.9 million tonnes a year earlier. Export will be 26.9 million tonnes of wheat (24.57), barley 2.85 million tonnes (4.29), corn 5.07 million tonnes (4.65).
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture predicts that in 2017 - 2018, export of grain will be in the range of 30 - 35 million tonnes. The crop will be 100 - 105 million tonnes.
Meteorologists predict a cyclone depression in the central parts of Russia. This is associated with very low temperatures for the season. Development of crops in these parts of the country is significantly worsened and thus probably there won’t be crop at usual levels.
