Bangladesh announced a tender for the purchase of 50,000 tonnes of milling wheat , that will be used to fill tha state’s reserves.
According to data of Transagent, 161,288 tonnes of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk during the period July 17-23, which is 15% less than the previous week and 26% less than the previous year. 63,000 tonnes of wheat (-54% compared to the previous week) are exported to Egypt, 32,988 tonnes of corn (+ 2100%) to Lebanon and Turkey, 63,300 tonnes of barley (+ 66%) for Saudi Arabia and Syria.
As of July 21, 2017 in Ukraine, 4.3 million hectares under grain cultivation are harvested (45% of all), with 14.5 million tonnes of grain harvested. The wheat harvested is 9.1 million tonnes and the barley 4.6 million tonnes. Harvest of rapeseeds continues, with 1.1 million tonnes of 441,000 hectares (56%) already harvested.
In 2017 the wheat crop in France will be 36.64 million tonnes, according to Agritel forecast. This is 33% more than 2016. Much of the crop has a protein content of over 12%. This means that the export markets will be open widely for French wheat.
Saudi Arabia bought 0.9 million tonnes of feed barley. The auction was organized for the purchase of 1.5 million tonnes of barley. Prices are within the range of 198.77 - 213.22 USD/ mt, C&F.
According to the Indian Ministry of Agriculture, no increase is planned for the import duty on vegetable oils.
In China, about 300,000 tonnes of corn was imported in China, 600% more than June 2016, and 900% more than May 2017. Growth is related to the significant rise in domestic prices due to drought.
