Canada: Forecast for the canola crop in 2017is lowered by 1.6 million tonnes

According to forecast of Oil World in 2017 – 2018, the canola crop in Canada will reach 18.6 million tonnes given 20 million tonnes in the previous forecast.

As of August 24, 2017 in the Saskatchewan province, only 52% of the crops are in good and excellent condition at 92% a year earlier. This is the worst result in history.

The meteorological forecast for the next 10 days indicates a lack of rain at relatively high temperatures.

In the new season, canola supply in Canada will drop by 1.6 - 1.8 million tonnes.
