During the period July 31 - August 6, 2017, from the Russian port of Novorossiysk 367,008 tonnes of grain were exported, which is 3% less than the previous week, but 31.5% more than the previous year.
According to APK Inform, the wheat supply in Russia will reach 88.2 million tonnes, which is 9% more than in 2016-2017. With a domestic consumption of 38-39 million tonnes, 33 million tonnes of wheat remain for export.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine anticipates that in 2017 - 2018 grain crop in the country will be 60.2 - 63 million tonnes.
According to data from Russia, from the beginning of the season until August 2, 2017, the country exported 2.645 million tonnes of grain at 2,192 million tonnes a year earlier (+ 20.7%). Wheat export reached 1.553 million tonnes, of barley 677,000 tonnes and of corn 400,000 tonnes. Export of wheat is lagging behind last year by 7.5%, of corn is by 1,600% more, and of barley by 45.6% more.
