USDA: In 2017 – 2018 Ukraine will be the 4th major exporter of corn in the world

In their September report, analysts of USDA raised their estimate for corn export from Ukraine by 0.5 million tonnes to 22 million tonnes.

This result will allow the country to take the fourth place among the global corn exporters.

Meanwhile, the forecast for corn crop is down 1 million tonnes to 27.5 million tones, result ranking the country on 6th place in the world.

Wheat crop is unchanged from 26.5 million tonnes at 26.8 million tonnes in 2016-2017 and is the second result in the history of the country. During the season, domestic corn consumption will be 10 million tonnes - a 5 years low. The export will be 16.5 million tonnes (18.1 million tonnes in 2016 - 2017).
