First forecast of Informa Economics for areas under crop cultivation in the US in 2018
Informa Economics predicts a growth of areas under corn cultivation in the US in 2018 to 91.88 million acres at90.66 million acres in 2017.

Soybean areas are expected at 89.057 million acres (90.342).

Informa predicts US corn crop from the current season at 358.52 million tonnes given an average yield of 169.7 bushels / acre.

The soybean crop will be 121.58 million tonnes at an average yield of 49.9 bushels / acre.

Wheat crop is estimated at 45.15 million tonnes, which is below the USDA estimate of 47.3 million tonnes.

Hard wheat crop is down to 8.19 million tonnes given the USDA estimate of 9.9 million tonnes.
