Wheat

- Taiwan flour millers association announced a tender for the purchase of 86,000 tonnes of milling wheat from the United States and shipment from 13.12.2017 to 13.01.2018.

- Australia's wheat exporters made the first export deal three months later than usual. 30,000 tonnes of APW will be exported at 252 USD/ mt, C & F. Now the price of Australian wheat falls to 232 USD / mt, FOB at 250 - 260 USD mt, FOB until recently. Black Sea grain can not satisfy Asian consumers neither as quality nor price. In the season, 20.15 million tonnes of wheat will be exported from Australia, which is 40% less than the previous year.

- Saudi Arabia announced a tender for the purchase of 475,000 tonnes of hard wheat with protein content of at least 12.5% and December - January shipment.

- Jordan purchased 50,000 tonnes of milling wheat at price of 229 USD / mt, C & F and February 16-28, 2018 shipment.

- Argentina exported to Algeria 90,200 tonnes of wheat.

- India will deliver 130,000 tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan.

Grain

- The Taiwanese company MFIG purchased around 65,000 tonnes of corn most likely from Argentina, for January 1 - 20, 2018 shipment .

- According to estimate of the Russian Grain Union , in the current season, grain crop in Russia will be 132.5 million tonnes, but there is risk 7-8% of the grain to be lost.

- In 2017. grain crop in Ukraine will reach 62 million tonnes. Until October 25, 2017 11.7 million tonnes of corn were harvested, 55% of the areas, 10.8 million tonnes of sunflower (93%), 3 million tonnes of soybeans, 81%.

Oil crops and vegetable oils

- From 2017 / 18 until 2022 / 23 sunflower oil import to India will grow by 0.05 million tonnes per year and will reach 2.5 million tonnes at the end of the period, according to Sunvin Group forecast. In 2017/18. sunflower oil import to India will be 2.3 million tonnes, and total oil import will be 15.9 million tonnes (15.14). In 2019. consumption of vegetable oils in India will be 22.27 million tonnes, and in 2025, 26.78 million tonnes.

- According to Oil World, in September, soybean processing in Argentina reached 3.19 million tonnes at 3.72 million tonnes in August, to 3.54 million tonnes in September 2016. In early October soybean meal stocks in Argentina reached 1.25 million tonnes given 1.3 million tonnes at the beginning of September and 1.33 million tonnes at the beginning of October 2016. Soybean oil stocks at the beginning of October are at 3 months low  - 276,000 tonnes at 339,000 tonnes in early September, which is 15% less than the previous year. In Argentina, 209,000 tonnes of sunflower (122,000 tonnes a year) were processed. In the first nine months of the year, 2.76 million tonnes of sunflower (2.38) were processed in Argentina.

According to UcroliProm's forecast, in 2017/18, sunflower crop in Ukraine will reach 12.5 million tonnes, which is 8% less than the previous year. The average crop yield will be 2 mt/ ha (2.24 tonnes / ha a year earlier). Soybean crop will be 4 million tonnes (-13%) and the average yield is 2 mt/ ha(2.31). Rapeseed crop will be 2.15 million tonnes (+ 90%) and yield 2.76 mt/ ha (2.57).

- Argentina strated forward sales of soybean, 2017/18 crop. Up to now, 5% of the expected crop has been sold, which is the highest level for the past five years. The old crop was 66% of the total crop at 74% a year earlier.

- According to the USDA, in 2017/18, soybean import to the country will reach 95 million tonnes, an increase of 2.5 million tonnes compared to 2016/17. Global soybean demand for the current season will be 148.6 million tonnes, up 5 million tonnes more than the previous year.

- South Korea purchased about 180,000 tonnes of soybean meal from South America at prices of 363.95 - 365.2 USD / mt,  C & F and April 15,  2018 shipment.

- In 2017/18, rapeseed oil will be the one mostly used for industrial purposes in the EU with a share of 61%, followed by palm oil 29%, soybean oil 7% and sunflower oil 3%. For food purposes, sunflower oil 37%, rapeseed oil 27%, palm oil 25%, and 11% soybean oil will be used.
