As of January 11, 2021, Argentine farmers have gone on a 72-hour strike against the government's decision to suspend corn exports. Farmers have called on President Alberto Fernandez to reconsider the decision.

- According to Oil World, soybean oil exports from Argentina reached 0.1 million tons and soymeal exports were in the range of 0.7 - 0.8 million tons in December. A year earlier, the same export indicators were 0.4 million tons and 2.1 million tons, respectively. During the month, 1 - 1.2 million tons of soybeans were crushed in the country (2.75). Soybean crush is expected to reach 2.9 - 3 million tons in January and 2.7 - 2.9 million tons in February.

- Turkey has announced a tender for the purchase of 155,000 tons of corn and 155,000 tons of barley with delivery in January - February.

- According to traders, Ethiopia has canceled a deal to import 600,000 tons of wheat. The contract was signed in November.
