According to Rusagrotrans forecast, 1.7-1.9 million tons of grain will be exported from Russia in March compared to the previous estimate of 1.4-1.6 million tons.

Wheat exports remain unchanged at 0.8 - 1 million tons. In February, total grain exports amounted to 4.59 million tons, including 4.1 million tons of wheat .

- In the period of January-February, 965,870 tons of sunseed oil were exported from Ukraine, which is 20% less than the same period in 2020. The largest importers of Ukrainian sunseed oil were:

  • India with a share of 29.1%
  • China with a share of 18.9%
  • the Netherlands- 7.7%
  • Spain- 6.6 %
  • Iraq- 5%

- According to Refinitiv, 821,000 tons of wheat were exported from France to non-EU countries in February, compared to 561,000 tons in January. Algeria and Morocco imported record monthly volumes of 309,000 tons and 138,000 tons, respectively. Exports to China were 68,000 tons. Since the beginning of the season, total wheat exports reach 5 million tons.

- On March 14, 2021, 35,000 tons of sunseed will be exported from Romania to Argentina, which will happen for the first time in history. Another 35,000 tons will be exported by the end of March, and another 60,000 tons of sunseed in April.

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 7,500 contracts of corn and net buyers of 4,000 contracts of soybeans and 6,000 contracts of wheat.

- According to estimates of Safras & Mercado, the wheat production in Brazil will reach 7.625 million tons in 2021, which is 22% more than 2020. The wheat areas will be increased by 12% to a total of 2.576 million hectares.

- In February, palm oil stocks in Malaysia fell to a minimum level for this month in the last five years of 1.3 million tons (-1.8% compared to January) and palm oil production decreased by 1.85% to 1.11 million tons. During the month, palm oil exports were 895,500 tons (-5.5%), which is the lowest level for this month since 2007.

- Algeria has announced a tender for the purchase of 50,000 tons of feed barley of any origin and delivery in April.
