- According to the Statistical Service of Ukraine, as of 01.06.2021, sunseed stocks in the country reached 1.4 million tons (2.28 million tons a year earlier).
- According to the European Commission, 69,100 tons of soft wheat were exported from the EU in the week of June 14-20 (245,500 tons a week earlier). The largest suppliers were Poland with 32,800 tons, Germany with 17,750 tons, Lithuania with 8,200 tons and Bulgaria with 6,200 tons. Since the beginning of the season, soft wheat exports have reached a total of 25.1 million tons (34.2). The weekly export of barley reached 2,000 tons (7,100), including 1,900 tons from Slovakia. Since the beginning of 2020/21, 7.07 million tons of barley have been exported from the EU (7.2).
- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 4,000 contracts of corn and net buyers of 6,500 contracts of soybeans and 500 contracts of wheat.
- As of June 20, 2021, 97% of the soybean areas were sown in the United States (96% a year earlier and 94% on average for the last five years). Winter wheat has been harvested on 17% of the areas (+13% for the week). 60% of the soybean crops are in good and excellent condition (62% and 70%). 49% of the winter wheat crops are in good and excellent condition (+1% for the week). 27% of the spring wheat crops are in good and excellent condition (-10% for the week and -48% for year). 65% of the corn crops are in good and excellent condition in the United States. (-3% and -7%).
- Egypt's state-owned company GASC has announced a tender for the purchase of 30,000 tons of soyoil and 10,000 tons of sunseed oil of any origin and delivery within September 5-30.
- Indonesia plans to reduce the export tax on palm oil to 175 USD/ton from the current 255 USD/ton. The export tax will be imposed at a price above 750 USD/ton of oil on a certain scale. The reduction of the export tax will create incentives for the development of the industry and will increase the predictability of the policies.
