According to the forecast of APC - Inform, the grain production in Russia will reach 126.8 million tons in 2021/22 (+1% compared to June and 133.5 million tons in 2020/21).

The wheat production is estimated at 80.3 million tons (+1% and -7%), barley production is predicted at 19 million tons (-5% and -9%) and corn production is expected to reach 15 million tons (+8% and +8%). Grain exports will reach 48.1 million tons (-3%), including wheat exports of 39.5 million tons (+5%), barley exports of 3.5 million tons (-44%) and corn exports of 4 million tons (-11%). The growth of export potential is due to high transitional stocks. The decrease in barley and corn exports will be mainly due to the current export taxes.

- Over the period of July 1 - 11, 353,290 tons of grain were exported from the EU, which is 67% less than last year. Imports reached 360,707 tons (-33%). Corn imports were 278,209 tons (-33.7%).

- According to Refinitiv, wheat exports from France in June were at their lowest level for the last 10 years and reached 122,000 tons. The largest customers were Algeria with 59,200 tons and Côte d'Ivoire with 30,400 tons. In 2020/21, wheat exports were 7.03 million tons - the lowest level since 2016/17. Barley exports in June were 40,700 tons.

- The Association of Farmers' Cooperatives in Germany forecasts a wheat production of 22.8 million tons in 2021, which is 0.8% less than the previous estimate and 3.2% less than 2020. The winter rapeseed production is expected to reach 3.68 million tons (3.67 million tons and +4.7%).

- In 2021, the wheat production in China will increase by 2% compared to 2020 to a total of 134 million tons, according to the forecast of the Bureau of Statistics of China. The total grain production is projected at 645.82 million tons (+2.1%).

- According to GAPKI data, 2.95 million tons of palm oil were exported from Indonesia in May, which is 21.6% more than in May 2020. Pakistan bought 265,500 tons (138,000), African countries purchased 243,200 tons (103,600) and the Middle East bought 154,720 tons (75,100).

- At the end of last week, a group of companies from the Philippines bought 40,000 tons of feed wheat from the Black Sea region at a price just under 290 USD/ton C&F and delivery within September 15-30.
