- According to APC - Inform, the indicative export prices of Ukrainian wheat rose last week. The current market situation is determined by the tense world's grain balance during the war in Ukraine, unfavorable weather conditions in the United States, the EU, Australia, Pakistan and India. For the previous week, the FOB price of wheat with 12.5% protein and delivery in May increased by 5 - 10 USD/ton to 370 - 395 USD/ton. The FOB price of wheat with 11.5% protein rose to 365 - 390 USD/ton and the FOB price of feed wheat increased to 335 - 355 USD/ton. The FOB price of the new wheat crop with 12.5% protein and delivery within July - August reached 300 - 320 USD/ton. The FOB price of the new wheat crop with 11.5% protein reached 295 - 315 USD/ton.
- Strategie Grains raised its forecast for the 2022/23 sunseed production in the EU to 10.66 million tons (10.2 in the previous estimate and +2.9% compared to 2021/22). The estimate for sunseed areas increased to 4.68 million hectares (4.47 and +6.5%), and the average yield decreased to 2.28 tons/hectare (-3.4% compared to 2021/22). The rapeseed production is projected at 18.15 million tons (minimal decrease and +6.8%). The soybean production is expected to reach 2.9 million tons (unchanged and + 8.4%).
- According to Deral, in the Brazilian state of Parana, the sowing campaign of the new wheat crop has begun and 3% of the planned areas have already been sown (5% a year earlier). Areas are expected to be reduced to 1.17 million hectares due to an increase of corn areas. Sowing is expected to begin in Rio Grande do Sul.
- India has allowed the import of 550,000 tons of GM soymeal until 30.09.2022 due to the strong shortage in the country. In August, the government allowed the import of 1.2 million tons of GM soymeal with imports until 31.10.2022, which amounted to 650,000 tons.
