- According to ICAR's forecast, the grain production in Russia will be 130.5 million tons in 2022, including a wheat production of 85 million tons (+9 compared to 2021/22). Grain exports in 2022/23 are projected to reach 49 million tons (+7.5), and wheat exports are expected at 39 million tons (+6.5). Domestic grain consumption is estimated at 82 million tons (+1).
- According to ICAR data, 13.7 million hectares of spring cereals have been sown in Russia, including 4.3 million hectares sown with wheat, 4.6 million hectares sown with barley and 1.7 million hectares sown with corn. A total of 30 million hectares have been sown with spring crops.
- The authorities in Russia will extend the application of quotas on exports of mineral fertilizers until the end of the year.
- According to experts, the grain production in Ukraine will fall by 20-30% compared to the average level in recent years. In 2021, it was 84 million tons, but this was well above average.

- According to the European Commission, 129,800 tons of wheat were exported from the EU in the week of May 9-15 (272,500 a week earlier). Exports from Poland were 32,500 tons, 31,500 tons from Romania, 30,000 tons from Lithuania and 20,700 tons from France. Since the beginning of the season, wheat exports reach 22.95 million tons (23.95), including 3.5 million tons for Algeria, 2.3 million tons for Egypt, 2.1 million tons for China, 1.7 million tons for Nigeria and 1.5 million tons for Morocco.
- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 5,500 contracts of corn and net buyers of 10,000 contracts of soybeans and 13,000 contracts of wheat.
- The authorities in India have allowed the export of about 400,000 tons of wheat despite the export ban. This quantity has been handed over for customs clearance and will be exported. There are still 1.8 million tons of grain left in the country's ports, which will not be able to leave India.
- According to the forecast of Safras & Mercado, soybean exports from Brazil will be 74.5 million tons in 2022 (+3.5 compared to the previous estimate and 86.1 in 2021). Processing in the country will reach 47.8 million tons (+0.4 and 47.4 in 2021).
- Jordan has canceled a tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of wheat of any origin. The next tender for the same quantity of wheat is scheduled for 24.05.2022.
