- Over the period of 01.07 - 16.11.2022, 15.566 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine (22.49 a year earlier), including 2,363 million tons since the beginning of November (3,045). 5,969 million tons of wheat (13,479), 1,278 million tons of barley (4,788) and 8,252 million tons of corn (1,201) were exported.
- In 2021/22, the rapeseed production in Bulgaria reached 394,000 tons (+41% compared to 2020/21). However, the 2022/23 production was only 298,000 tons (-24% compared to 2021/22). Areas for the 2023/24 rapeseed crop are expected to decrease by 5-8%.
- In 2022/23, the corn production in Moldova is projected within 700,000 – 800,000 tons against 3 million tons in 2021/22. The reduction is related to the drought in summer. The poor production threatens the country's food security.
- IHS Markit predicts that the wheat areas in the United States will be 19.1 million hectares in 2023/24 (18.5 in 2022/23). Corn areas are projected to reach 37.2 million hectares (+1.3), and soybean areas are estimated at 35.8 million hectares (+0.4).
- As of 11/15/2022, farmers in Argentina have sold 72.2% of their 2021/22 soybean crop (74.2% a year earlier). In the week of November 3 - 9, sales reached 249,300 tons, which is half of the previous year. Corn sales reach 70.4% (-2%) of the 2021/22 crop, which amounted to 59 million tons.
- Last week, China bought about 120,000 tons of French wheat with a protein content of 10-10.5%. Over the July-August period, China purchased several hundred thousand tons of wheat from France with delivery until the end of 2022. Of this amount, 300,000 tons have already been shipped.
