Rusagrotrans forecasts a record wheat export from Russia in July, ranging from 4.1 to 4.2 million tons (the previous best result was 4 million tons in 2018).

During the period from July 1 to July 23, 1.385 million tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk (0.54 in July 2022 and 0.45 in July 2021), including 1.143 million tons of wheat (0.52 and 0.35), and 0.213 million tons of barley (0 and 0.083).

In their July report, the International Grains Council (IGC) forecasts the wheat production for 2023/24 in Russia to be 83.6 million tons (unchanged from June), with exports reaching 45.2 million tons (44.7). The total grain production in the country will be 125.5 million tons with exports of 55.2 million tons (54.6).

On the night of July 24, 2023, three grain warehouses were destroyed in the Ukrainian port of Reni following a prolonged attack by Russian drones.

During the period from July 1 to July 24, Ukraine exported 1.666 million tons of grain (1.405 million tons more than the previous year), including 563,000 tons of wheat (325,000), 184,000 tons of barley (131,000), and 915,000 tons of corn (941,000).

In 2023, Moldova's wheat production is expected to exceed 1.2 million tons with an average yield of 3.6 tons per hectare.

As of July 17, 2023, in France, 58% of soft wheat areas have been harvested (+25% compared to the previous week and 79% compared to the previous year). 82% of corn crops are in good to excellent condition (82 and 75).

According to estimates from DBV, Germany has harvested 9.5 million tons of winter barley (9.03 in the previous estimate and 8.7 in 2022/23).

In June, Argentina processed 3 million tons of soybeans, which is 12% less than May's production (3.4 million tons) and 3.9 million tons in June 2022. The production of soyoil was 578,250 tons (684,890 and 751,600), and soymeal production reached 2.1 million tons (2.6 and 2.8). In the first 6 months of 2023, Argentina processed 14.9 million tons of soybeans (20), resulting in 2.8 million tons of soyoil (3.8) and 10.7 million tons of soymeal (14.4).

From January 1st to July 18th, 2023, Egypt received 5.66 million tons of wheat (4.22 million tons more than the previous year). The expected wheat import for the year is 12 million tons.

In 2023, Tunisia's grain production decreased by 60% compared to 2022, reaching 250,000 tons, with around 99% of the production being durum wheat.

During the first 6 months of 2023, Azerbaijan's wheat imports increased by 23% to 493,210 tons.
