The total agricultural land area in Russia in 2024 will be 84.5 million hectares, which is 0.3 million hectares more than in 2023. Out of these, 20 million hectares are planted with winter crops, and 96% of them are currently in good or excellent condition.

Analysts expect soybean processing in the United States in December 2023 to reach a record monthly level of 6.18 million tons, which is 10% more than in December 2022. The all-time record was set in November 2023, slightly above expectations for December.

The government of Argentina abandons plans to increase export taxes on agricultural crops. The current tax for wheat is 12% (15% planned), and for soyoil and soymeal, the export tax is 31% (33%).
Bangladesh is looking to purchase 50,000 tons of milling wheat of unspecified origin. The best bid price is 303.19 USD/ton C&F, with other proposed prices ranging from 307.07 to 315 USD/ton C&F.
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) conducted a tender for the sale of 150,000 tons of hard wheat with delivery between February 19 and March 15, 2024. The sale prices are within the range of 354.1 to 404.80 USD/ton FOB.
