The production of major crops is 28.5 million tons, including 17.4 million tons of sunseed, 6.85 million tons of soybeans, and 4.22 million tons of rapeseed. The export of sunseed oil is expected to be 4.8 million tons, with a maximum of 5.3 million tons. Over the next three years, processing capacities will increase by 3.5 – 5 million tons, requiring oilseed areas to also increase by 1 – 2 million hectares. In 2024/25, the areas are projected to decrease to 9.55 – 9.75 million hectares.

- From February 1 to 18, 3.303 million tons of grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk, compared to 2.838 million tons a year earlier. This includes 3.22 million tons of wheat, 59,300 tons of barley, and 23,300 tons of peas.

- According to Safras@Mercado's forecast for 2024, soybean exports from Brazil will reach 94 million tons (compared to 101.9 million in 2023). Brazil's soybean processing for the year will be 54.3 million tons (compared to 52.2 million), biodiesel production will consume 5.2 million tons of oil (+18%), soymeal exports will be 21 million tons (+1.6%), and soyoil exports are expected at 1.5 million tons (-0.8%). Soybean reserves at the end of 2024 are expected to be 3.2 million tons (-0.2%).

- Jordan has announced a tender to purchase 120,000 tons of feed barley of unspecified origin and delivery scheduled for April – May. In the previous tender, 60,000 tons of barley were purchased at a price of 219 USD/ton C&F with delivery in June.
