As of 22.02.2024, in Ukraine, 91% of the areas with corn from the 2023 crop have been harvested. A total of 28.829 million tons of corn have been collected with an average yield of 7.79 tons per hectare, including 81,000 tons in the last week. Overall, cereal crops have been harvested on 97% of the areas, with a total of 59.075 million tons of grain collected.
As of 23.02.2024, Ukraine has exported 28.15 million tons of grain (compared to 30.79 million tons the previous year), including 4.274 million tons since the beginning of February (compared to 3.819 million tons). The exports include 11.082 million tons of wheat (1.865 million tons), 1.56 million tons of barley (145,000 tons), and 15.236 million tons of corn (2.252 million tons).
According to FranceAgriMer data as of 19.02.2024, durum wheat sowing campaign in France has reached 90% of the planned areas (+1% for the week and 97% compared to the previous year, with an average of 96% for the last five years). 74% (75% and 92%) of these crops are in good and excellent condition, as well as 69% of the soft wheat crops (+1% and 95%).
The U.S. government has approved the request of governors from the Midwest states (Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) to allow the year-round sale of E15 gasoline starting from 2025.
The Egyptian state company GASC has purchased 60,250 tons of crude sunseed oil at a price of 920 USD/ton C&F with delivery scheduled for 25.03 – 30.04.2024. Most likely, the oil will be supplied from Russia. Oliva offered a price of 974 USD/ton during the tender.
Tunisia has procured 100,000 tons of soft wheat at prices ranging from 238.80 to 240.80 USD/ton C&F with delivery scheduled for March - April. Among the sellers is the Bulgarian company FarmSense, offering 25,000 tons at a price of 238.80 USD/ton. Another offer comes from Buildcom with a price of 252.80 USD/ton.
