Oil World announced that rapeseed import in the EU in November 2016 increased more than 100% compared with the previous year up to 301,000 tons (139,000).

Ukraine with 107,000 тона (85,000), Canada with 81,000 tons (52,000) and Australia with 106,000 tons (0) were the biggest rapeseed importers.

Rapeseed import in the EU is expected to be 3.9 mln tons (+0.4) in 2016 - 2017.

Rapeseed processing in the EU reached 2.2 mln tons in December 2016 (+7% compared with December 2016). Processing dropped by 0.5 mln tons between July and December 2016  down to 12.4 mln tons.

Rapeseed processing in the EU will drop by 0.8 mln tons in the second half of the season down to 10.6 – 10.7 mln tons, which will be the lowest level for tha past 5 years.
