China reduced rapeseed import and increased soybean import in December

Oil World reports that 61,000 tons of rapeseed oil were imported in China in 2016 compared with 106,000 tons in December 2015, which is much lower than expected on the market. 60,000 tons of rapeseed (72,000) were delivered from Canada.

Soybean oil purchase in the month went up to 37,000 tons, which is 21,000 tons more than December 2015. The USA was the main soybean oil supplier with 28,000 tons  (0). Soybean oil import from Ukraine and Russia was 5,000 tons (14,000).

Palmoil deliveries were 687,000 tons (683,000), including 209,000 tons (106,000) from Malaysia and 478,000 tons (577,000) from Indonesia.

560,000 tons of soybean oil (818,000) were imported into China in 2016; rapeseed oil import was 700,000 tons (815,000) and palm oil import was 4.6 mln tons (6.03).
