Sunflower import forecast dropped from 450,000 tons to 420,000 tons with 235,000 tons a year earlier. Sunflower purchases from the EU will be 300,000 tons (181,000) while non-EU purchases will be 120,000 tons (54,000).

Sunflower export forecast is down from 290,000 tons to 275,000 tons with 328,000 tons a year earlier.

Sunflower yield in Moldova was 673,000 tons in 2016 which was 38.9% higher than the 2015 yield.
