Wheat export from Varna Port is on the rise, but barley and corn are falling

1.394 mln tons of wheat were exported from Varna Port between the start of the current season and January 22, 2017 which is a 15.5% increase on the corresponding period of the previous season. Bulgaria’s total wheat export for the period was 3.324 mln tons.

Only 13,920 tons of barley (-89%) were exported from the same port with the figures for the whole country reading 373,796 tons.

Corn export from the port reached 191,340 tons (-33.2%) and the country’s total was 710,737 tons.

216,460 tons of rapeseed (+300%) were exported from Varna Port for the same period and the country’s total was 490,771 tons.

Sunflower export from Varna Port amounted to 53,900 tons (-49.3%) while the total for Bulgaria was 189,741 tons.
