Australia: 13.1 million tonnes of wheat have been exported from the start of the season

During the period October 2016 – April 2017, 13.1 million tonnes of wheat were exported, which is 2/3 of the annual forecast, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Australia supplies wheat mainly to Asian countries. In April, Indonesia bought 712,700 tonnes of Australian wheat, Vietnam -  271,200 tonnes, Philippines -  184,200 tonnes, Malaysia - 183,700 tonnes, China, Yemen and South Korea.

Throughout the season, Australia will export 19 million tonnes of wheat, while last year export was almost 24 million tonnes.
