Major soybean oil exporters decrease the export in May

According to Oil World, in May 2017, soybean oil export from the four major exporters decreased to 0.81 million tonnes, given 0.82 million tonnes in May 2016 and 0.87 million tonnes in April.

The reduction is at Brazil’s expense, which during the month exported 120,000 tonnes of soybean oil (183,000). From Paraguay 580,000 tonnes of oil (700,000), Argentina 560,000 tonnes (520,000), and the US 74,000 tonnes (47,000) were exported.

The major buyers were India 410,000 tonnes (318,000), Iran 30,000 tonnes (1,000), China 47,000 tonnes (86,000), South Korea 10,000 tonnes (74,000), Malaysia 5,000 tonnes (34,000).

During the period October - May 2016 - 2017. Global soybean oil export fell by 8% to 5.6 million tonnes (6.1).
