Global oil palm production rises by 0.6 million tonnes compared to the previous forecast to 66 million tonnes or +7.1 million tonnes more than in the previous year. In Indonesia the yield will be 35.6 million tonnes (32.1), Malaysia 20 million tonnes (17.3), Thailand 2.1 million tonnes (1.8) and Colombia 1.46 million tonnes (1.14).
The low prices of the product combined with an insufficient supply of other oils worldwide led to the fact that during the period January - September 2017, global export will exceed expectations by 2.9 million tonnes.
