In the new season the sunflower crop in the ex-USSR countries will drop by 1.3 million tonnes
In 2017 – 2018 sunflower production in the ex-USSR countries will drop by 1.3 million tonnes, down to 26.23 million tonnes, that will be the second best result in history, according to Oil World.

With reduced areas under cultivation in Ukraine, the crop will be 14 million tonnes (14.6), Russia 10.7 million tonnes (11.3), Moldova 0.72 million (0.75).

The forecast is made under normalization of the weather conditions that have worsened in recent weeks.
