Sunflower is on the march
Sunflower sowing, 2017-2018 crop, is practically over in Russia. 7.5 million hectares were sown. Initial forecasts were for 7.6 – 7.7 million hectares.

According to the forecast of APK - Inform, sunflower crop in Russia in 2017 will be 10.3 million tonnes, which is 6.5% less than 2016.

Areas under sunflower cultivation in Russia amount to about 80% of all oil crops.
