India's high demand for vegetable oil led to an increase in supplies from Argentina - 340,000 tonnes (315,000). Demand is increasing in Iran, North Africa and South Africa as well.

In the first half of 2017,eExports of soybean oil from Argentina will be below the level of the previous year - 2.76 million tonnes compared to 3.1 million tonnes a year earlier.

During the period January - June 2017, 92,000 tonns of oil (323,000) were exported to Egypt, to Algeria 33,000 tonnes (117,000), Iran 140,000 tonnes (63,000), India 1.62 million tonnes (1.63).
