China, Saudi Arabia and the EU increase palm oil import

In May 2017 palm oil export from Malaysia increases by 17% (0.22 million tonnes) compared to May 2016 up to 1.51 million tonnes, by 0.3 million tonnes mores than in April, according to Oil World.

Biggest growth is for China - 113,000 tonnes (108,000 tonnes), followed by Pakistan 108,000 tonnes (77,000), Saudi Arabia (28,000 tonnes), Singapore 41,000 tonnes (35,000), and the EU 169,000 tonnes (119,000).

Deliveries to India decreased to 274,000 tonnes (310,000).

During the period January - May 2017, Malaysian palm oil export rose to 6.5 million tonnes.
