Wheat and barley production in Romania will decrease

According to data of the European Commission, sunflower, rapeseed and corn crops in Romania will increase in 2017, while that of wheat and barley will decrease.

Experts predict growth in sunflower production by 15.3%, as of rapeseed by 12%. Sunflower crop will grow by 12.8% to 2.2 mt / ha, and that of rapeseed by 5.2% to 2.7 mt / ha.

The increase in the corn crop will be 16.8% to 10.39 million tonnes, and crop yield will increase by 22.7% to 4.3 mt / ha.

Wheat crop will drop by 2.4% and that of barley by 9%. Wheat yield declined by 4.7% to 4.1 mt / ha and that of barley by 0.3% to 3.8 mt / ha

Corn crop is very large, too large. Growth will compensate somewhat expected losses from Ukraine, where drought has ruled for long period of time.
