In 2016 – 2017 Ukraine set a new record in grain export - 43.9 million tonnes

20.7 million tonnes of corn, 17.5 million tonnes of wheat and 5.4 million tonnes of barley were exported.

In the first half of 2017, the major buyers were the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe.

For several years in a row the major customer of Ukrainian grain is Egypt with a share of total export during the season 17.5%. Followed by the Netherlands 9.2%, Spain 8.9%, Italy 6.2%, India 5.7% and China 5.5%. By adding the shares of Iran, Israel, Tunisia and Bangladesh, the export share of these countries reached 70%.

Over the same period, the major buyers of oil crops from Ukraine are Turkey, 24% export share, Iran 16.9%, Egypt 13.3%, and Italy 5.6% - a total share of 60%.

The largest buyer of oils during the period was India with a share of 32.4%, followed by Spain 9.4%, China 9.1%, The Netherlands 7.4%, Italy 5.4% - a total of 63%.
