Great Britain: In the previous season export of wheat declined by almost 50%

In 2017 – 2018, 1.444 million tonnes of wheat were exported from Great Britain. By 49.5% less than 2015 – 2016 and is the weakest export season for the last three years.

 1.147 million tonnes of wheat were exported to EU countries and 297,000 tonnes to third countries.

 

The major buyer of British wheat from the EU is the Netherlands - 331,580 tonnes. Of the non-EU countries, the major buyer is Algeria - 206,646 tonnes, followed by Vietnam 70,000 tonnes.
