The EU: Forecast for rapeseed production is raised by 0.6 million tonnes
According to latest forecast of Coceral, in 2017 rapeseed crop will be 22.11 million tonnes, by 630,000 tonnes more than the previous year and by 1.56 million tonnes more thean the 2016 crop.

In the new season, areas under cultivation in the EU are increased.

The forecast for rapeseed crop of Strategie Grains is 21.65 million tonnes and of IGC - 21.8 million tonnes.

The crop in France will be 5.48 million tonnes and the average yield 3.75 mt/ ha. The rapeseed crop in the UK will reach 2.17 million tonnes (+0.22), while the average yield - 3.84 mt/ ha (+ 25% and at maximum EU-wide over the season).

The rapeseed crop in Germany is reduced by 550,000 tonnes to 4.35 million tonnes, which is below the level of last year. The average yield will be 3.31 mt/ ha (-12%).
