Brazil increases wheat import

In August 2017, 656,011 tonnes of wheat were imported to Brazil, by 30.5% more than July 2017 and by 13.8% more than August 2016.

In the first eight months of the season, 4.24 million tonnes of wheat were imported into the country, 7.3% more than the previous year and the highest level since 2012. until now.

The share of Argentine wheat in the import was 81% between January and August 2017, Paraguayan wheat 8.9%, US wheat 6.5%, and Canadian wheat 2.8%.
