USDA lowered minimally the global soybean crop in 2017/2018

In its October report, USDA lowered its forecast for global soybean production in 2017/2018 by 0.5 million tonnes compared to the September forecast to 347.8 million tonnes, by 3.4 million tonnes less than in 2016/17.

Soybean production in the US will be 120.58 million tonnes (120.59 and 116.92), China 14.2 million tonnes (14 and 12.9).

 

Ending soybean stocks in the new season will be 96.04 million tonnes (97.5 and 94.8). Stocks in Brazil will be 21.9 million tonnes (22.5 and 24.4), US 11.7 million tonnes (12.9 and 8.2), Argentina 37.13 million tonnes (37.06 and 35.9), and China 19.6 million tonnes (19.4 and 20.19) .

 

The rapeseed crop is expected at 71.88 million tonnes (72.14 and 70.35), and stocks are 4.98 million tonnes (5.03 and 5.86).

 

Sunflower crop will reach 46.35 million tonnes (47.40 and 47.60) and stocks 2.22 million tonnes (2.33 and 2.61).
