- In February, 1,454 million tons of Russian grain were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk, which is 7.1% less than in January and 27.6% more compared to February 2020. 1,365 million tons of wheat were exported (+6.9% from January 2021 and +36.8% from February 2020). 76,863 tons of barley and 11,650 tons of corn were also exported.

- According to updated data from Rosstat, in 2020 the total grain production in Russia reached 133.465 million tons, including:

• wheat- 85.896 million tons;
• barley- 20.939 million tons;
• corn- 13.879 million tons.

- According to AHDB data, the wheat production in the UK was 9.7 million tons in 2020/21, which is the lowest level for the last 40 years. In 2019/20, the production was 16.2 million tons. The barley production was 8.1 million tons (8) in 2020/21, which is the highest level since 1988.

- On Friday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 4,500 contracts of corn, 3,750 contracts of soybeans and 7,000 contracts of wheat.

- According to EIA estimates, in 2020 the United States produced 2.43 million tons of biodiesel, which is 5% more than the previous year (2.31 million tons). The main component was soyoil, which had a total production of 3.8 million tons (3.3). In January 2021 alone, the United States produced 357,000 tons of biodiesel (586,000 tons in December and 394,000 tons in January 2020).

- According to Oil World, canola crush reached 916,000 tons in Canada in January 2021 which is the highest level for this month of the year. This figure is 11,000 tons more than the previous month and 7% more than Jan 2020. In the first 6 months of the season, canola crush reached a total of 5.29 million tons (+4%). At the same time, soybean crush decreased to 142,000 tons per month (153,000 and 162,000) and from the beginning of the season it adds up to 879,000 tons (897,000).

- In January 2021, Brazil imported 643,901 tons of wheat, which is 0.6% less than in January 2020. Over 90% of deliveries are from Argentina. In 2020, Brazil imported 6.16 million tons of wheat, of which 74% from Argentina.

- Egyptian farmers have planted 1.44 million hectares with wheat (1.43 million hectares in 2020), which is below the government's plan - 1.47 million hectares. The harvesting campaign takes place in the period of April - June.

- According to MROS data, 17.37 million tons of palm oil were exported from Malaysia in 2020, which is 5.97% less than in 2019.

- According to the forecast of the Mexican consulting company GCMA, in 2020/21 corn imports in Mexico will increase to 17.5 million tons (16.1 million tons in 2019/20). The corn production in the country is projected at 27.1 million tons (27.4).
