According to Oil World's forecast, the sunseed production in the EU will reach a record 10.4 million tons in 2021 (+1.7 million tons compared to 2020).

- The sunseed production in Romania is projected at 3.1 million tons (1.9) - a record for the country. Sunseed productions in other countries are expected to reach:

  • Bulgaria - 2 million tons (1.7)
  • Hungary - 1.86 million tons (1.67)
  • France - 1.6 million tons (1.6)
  • Italy - 0.3 million tons (0.3)
  • Spain - 0.82 million tons

- According to USDA data, as of April 11, 2021, 53% of winter wheat crops are in good and excellent condition in the United States, compared to 53% a week earlier and 59% a year earlier. The sowing campaign of spring wheat was carried out on 11% of the planned areas (3% and 5%) and the sowing campaign of corn was carried out on 4% of the planned areas (2% and 3%).

- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net sellers of 11,000 contracts of corn, 12,000 contracts of soybeans and 9,000 contracts of wheat.

- According to AgRural data, as of April 10, 2021, 85% of the soybean areas in Brazil have been harvested, compared to 78% on average for the last five years.

- Over the period of May - June, the authorities in Brazil reduced the requirement to mix the biocomponent in biodiesel from 13% to 10% due to high oil prices.

- In March, 7.77 million tons of soybeans were delivered to China, which is 82% more than in March 2020. In the first quarter of 2021, soybean imports were 21.18 million tons (17.79). In March, China's soybean stocks fell to 4.4 million tons. Imports of corn for the quarter reached a total of 6.727 million tons (+500%) and wheat improts reached 2.925 million tons (+200%).

- The South Korean MFG has announced a tender for the purchase of 55,000 - 70,000 tons of feed wheat of any origin and delivery by 25.10.2021. Imports can be made from the US, Canada, Australia and the Black Sea region.

- Algeria has announced a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of durum wheat with delivery in May.
