The USDA has revised the world's supply/demand balance for corn in 2021/21

In their July report, analysts from the USDA raised their forecast for the world's corn production in 2021/22 to 1.194 million tons (1.189 million tons in the June estimate and 1.120 million tons in 2020/21).

The corn production in the United States is expected at 385.2 million tons (+4.44 million tons and +25 million tons) and the corn production in Russia is predicted at 15.4 million tons (14.9 and 13.8).

World's total corn exports are projected at 194.3 million tons (196.2 and 184.3), including:

  • Brazil - 37 million tons (40 and 30)
  • the United States - 63.5 million tons (62.2 and 72.4)
  • Russia - 4.4 million tons (4.1 and 3.1)

The world's ending stocks of corn in 2021/22 will be 291.2 million tons (289.4 and 279.8), including 36.4 million tons held by the United States (34.4 and 27.5).
