The USDA lowered its forecast for world's wheat production and stocks of wheat in 2021/22

In their July report, analysts from the USDA lowered the forecast for world's wheat production in 2021/22 to 792.4 million tons (794.4 million tons in June and 775.8 million tons in 2020/21).

Wheat productions estimates around the world:

  • the United States - 47.5 million tons (51.6 and 49.7)
  • Russia - 85 million tons (86 and 85.3)
  • Canada - 31.5 million tons (32 and 35.2)
  • Australia - 28.5 million tons (27 and 33)
  • Pakistan - 27 million tons (26 and 24.9)
  • the EU - 138.2 million tons (137.5 and 125.9)
  • Ukraine - 30 million tons (29.5 and 25.4)

World wheat exports will reach 205.5 million tons (204 and 197.5), including:

  • the EU - 34 million tons (33 and 30.7)
  • Ukraine - 21 million tons (20.5 and 16.7)
  • Australia - 20.5 million tons (20 and 23)
  • the United States - 23.8 million tons (24.5 and 26.9)
  • Canada - 23 million tons 23.5 and 27.5)
  • Kazakhstan - 7.5 million tons (8 and 8)

The ending wheat stocks are projected at 291.7 million tons (296.8 and 290.2), including:

  • the United States with 18.1 million tons (20.9 and 22.9)
  • the EU with 11.06 million tons (11.9 and 9.06)
  • Russia with 15 million tons (15.5 and 12)
  • Iran with  6.1 million tons (5.8 and 7.2)
  • Pakistan with  4.9 million tons 4.6 and 3)
