- FAS USDA expects the sunseed produciton in Russia to reach 16.5 million tons in 2021/22, which is 24% more than in 2020 and will be a new record for the country. Russian analysts expect the sunseed production to range within 15.5 - 16 million tons given the drought in the country.
- SovEcon has lowered its forecast for the Russian wheat production in 2021 by 2.3 million tons to 82.3 million tons. The forecast for the barley production remained unchanged at 18 million tons and the estimate for the corn production has been raised to 15.9 million tons from a previous estimate of 15.75 million tons.
