Starting from January 2025, the export tax on sunseed oil from Russia is 16,067 rubles/ton (9,195.8 rubles a week earlier). The export tax on sunseed meal is 4,771.6 rubles/ton (3,788.4 rubles).
Between July 1 and December 30, 2024, Ukraine exported 21.507 million tons of grain (17.932 million tons during the same period last year), including 3.142 million tons in December (4.836 million). Wheat exports amounted to 9.694 million tons (0.7 million tons in December), barley exports reached 1.968 million tons (0.106 million), and corn exports reached 9.519 million tons (2.31 million).
In 2025, the wheat cultivation area in Egypt will cover 3.1 million acres, with a production expected to reach 9.5 million tons.
From July to December 2024, Egypt imported 5.3 million tons of Russian wheat (2.9 million tons the previous year). The second-largest buyers of Russian wheat were Bangladesh with 2.14 million tons (1.9 million), Turkey with 2.08 million tons (3.12 million), Algeria with 1.66 million tons (1.49 million), and Kenya with 1.35 million tons (0.87 million), according to Rusagrotrans data. In December alone, exports reached 3.7–3.8 million tons (4.06 million). Over this period, wheat exports from Russia hit a record 29.4 million tons (27.7 million).
